- Florida’s Phase three reopening is underway after Governor DeSantis mandated all businesses reopen and imposed limitations on the ability for local governments to fine individuals for violations of mask and social distancing orders.
- With fewer than 2,500 daily average reported COVID-19 cases over the past week, Florida is averaging the fewest cases since June 17th – over thirteen weeks ago.
- While the Florida Division of Elections won’t begin to report vote by ballot returns officially until next week, through Saturday 6,600+ vote by mail ballots in Florida for November 3rd's general election have already been returned according to the Florida Division of Elections. While early voting doesn’t begin in Florida until October 19th, nearly 5 million vote by mail ballots have already been requested and may be voted earlier.
- Florida’s August revenue report showed promising signs that our economy continues to outperform expectations. According to Senate President Bill Galvano, Florida’s revenue for the month came in $177 million above expectations.
