With tens of thousands of kids back in local public schools, and new protocols in place like mandatory mask-wearing, we check back in with Palm Beach County Schools Police Chief Frank Kitzerow to see how these measures are being enforced.
"While the police department doesn't play a significant role in enforcing masks, we do work closely with each school's staff to make sure that we're helping them formulate policies and procedures and things that will help increase the likelihood of keeping our children safe."
He says it's a balancing act to navigate between the challenges associated with the pandemic and the traditional safety challenges.
