Work is underway on the annual Sandi Holiday Tree in West Palm Beach. Crews began sculpting the tree on Wednesday.
It will stand 35 feet tall and feature more than 700 tons of sand.
Sandi will be the centerpiece of nightly events, which are scheduled to get underway on December 5th. They include Santa at Sandi, which will have kids socially distanced from Santa Claus, who will be inside a giant snow globe.
Kids will be able to share their wish list with him, as city staff encourages social distancing while families wait in line.
