Top Three Takeaways – February 16th, 2021

  1. Things that make you go hmmmm. Unlike the Catchy tune from C&C Music Factory, This isn’t a good thing. I’m looking at what the Biden administration has done to Florida since taking over the vaccination program. In today's Q&A I delve into the questionable reality regarding whether Florida is being treated differently than other states. The fact of the matter is yeah. And not just a little bit. Florida’s share of the US population is about 6.7%. That means an equitable share of vaccines delivered by the federal government would equal that total weekly. Under the Trump administration we averaged 6.9% of the available vaccines. Under the Biden administration that number has cratered to 2.4%. That’s something that makes you go hmmmm because it’s unjustifiable at best and potentially punitive at worst.
  2. Gonna make you sweat. Sticking with the C&C Music Factory theme here but looking at the impeachment fiasco now. The greatest farce, aka show trial, in American history is now behind us. The acquittal of former President Donald Trump in hand, which was known in advance. Still though, if you’re in need of help during this pandemic, which millions of Floridians and thousands of businesses are...you were forced to wait another week to allow the show trial to take place. You might say Democrats in Congress decided you could sweat it out another week while they attempted to exhume another pound of political flesh from the outsider they attempted to thwart from prior to his even having taken office. They also want Trump to continue to sweat and that means the talk of civil action against Trump is now taking hold. The obsession over the man once again illustrates what an effective disrupter to the political establishment he was and the threat to the political establishment he represents.
  3. Keep it Comin’. This was one of the Music Factory’s lessor known songs, but it serves us well in the context of my takeaways today. Keep it comin’ because Trump can handle it. The man has proven he won’t back down to anyone. Also, the more the political establishment attempts to take him out, the more it illustrates the importance of breaking through the existing establishment. Couple of questions for you. Would you rather have lower unemployment, higher wages, cheaper energy and more vaccines in Florida? Or would you rather have higher unemployment, lower wages, more expensive energy and far fewer vaccines in Florida? Then ask yourself, for those who broke for Biden, was your political party really worth it? Is your disdain for Trump worth it? Then ask yourself this question, to which there’s a crystal-clear answer to after just a month. Which President was/is better for Florida? Which was/is better for you and your family? Therefore, it’s important that we have more politicians like Governor DeSantis, who might be the best combination of the threat that Trump represents to the political establishment - melded into a politician – we've seen. So yeah, keep it comin’. We need a fighter for Florida given the clear disregard the Biden administration has already shown for our state and the blatant disregard for the here and now needs of all Americans by politicians who cared more about getting Trump than they did serving you.
