- With fewer than 4,000 new COVID-19 cases reported by the Florida Department of Health on Sunday, the weekly trend for daily cases remains at about 4,500 – which remains the best since the first week of November.
- Nearly 7.5 million doses of a COVID vaccine have been administered based on Sunday’s vaccine report from the FDOH. That includes over 2.7 million Floridians who’ve now completed the vaccine series.
- Effective today, the age for eligibility for a COVID-19 vaccine drops to 50. Governor DeSantis made the announcement Friday after providing an update that about 70% of Florida’s seniors have now been vaccinated and demand for vaccines has been lower with those between the ages of 60-64 compared to those 65+. You may preregister at myvaccine.fl.gov.
- Spring Break starts today in the Broward School District after Palm Beach County schools had theirs last week. Miami-Dade's are scheduled for next week. Miami-Beach is maintaining an 8pm curfew through April 12th after declaring a state of emergency due to widespread non-compliance with city ordinances. .
