A man was taken into custody after he allegedly threatened a hotel valet with a gun at a South Florida resort, according to NBC 6.
Police officers responded to the Royal Palm South Beach resort, which is located at 1545 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. An employee told authorities he was threatened after a group of men came down to retrieve their car. When asked to pay for the valet service, one of the men allegedly showed the employee his weapon.
The man then grabbed the keys from the work stand and sped away from the scene, according to the employee. Officers later spotted the car involved near the intersection of 41st Street and Alton Road. Three men were inside the vehicle at the time, and one of them was arrested and taken to jail, NBC 6 reported.
Authorities also found several weapons inside the car, including a high-powered assault rifle. No word on if the other men in the vehicle would face charges. Police didn't say if the hotel valet was hurt in the incident, either.
