  • Florida’s daily and weekly trend for new COVID-19 cases rose for the third consecutive day on Thursday as 5,773 new cases were reported. The weekly trend for cases is currently the highest since March 10th.
  • Over 8 million doses of a COVID vaccine have now been administered to over 5.3 million Floridians. This includes over 2.9 million Floridians who’ve completed the series.
  • Approximately 2.5 million additional Floridians will be eligible for a COVID vaccine as of Monday as Governor DeSantis announced the lowering of the age of eligibility for COVID vaccines to 40. Preregistrations for those newly eligible begin today.
  • Homestead experienced the most crime per capita in Florida last year with over 42 victims per 10,000 in population - which was 7th highest of any city nationally. The better news, even for Homestead is... that like much of the state during the pandemic, overall crime actually dropped by 24% in 2020. Baltimore had the highest crime rate at over 81 victims per 10,000 residents.
