  • Florida had its highest day for newly reported coronavirus cases since March 2nd on Thursday as 6,790 new COVID-19 cases were reported by the Florida Department of Health. Likewise, the weekly trend for new cases is the highest since the first week of March.
  • Nearly six million Floridians have now been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine including 3.4 million who’ve now completed the series. Related...
  • Today marks the first day that Floridians 18 and older may obtain vaccine appointments for immunizations next week. All Floridians 18 and older will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations starting Monday. A total of 817,250 vaccine doses are in route to Florida for use next week – the highest weekly total to date.
  • AccuWeather’s Hurricane forecast is predicting an above average hurricane season once again with a projected 16-20 named storms. According to their forecasting, Florida’s Gulf coast may once again be the most likely to be directly impacted by storms.
