Top Three Takeaways – April 5th, 2021

  1. It’s Time. Aside from it being one of the early hits from one of my favorite bands, Imagine Dragons, it’s also my message for you today. Couple of questions for you. If your kids scored a 57 on a test what would your reaction be? Is that acceptable? According to the Florida Department of Education – that's failing. It’s clearly not acceptable. Yet do you know what Georgia’s Election Integrity score was prior to last week’s law? You guessed it a 57. Not only did Georgia have a failing grade for election integrity according to The Electoral Integrity Project, they were the 7thworst state in the 2ndworst country in the developed world for election integrity. Now, here’s another one for you. 75%. What’s that? It’s the percentage of Americans who believe we should have voter ID – that includes69% of Blacks and 82% of Asians and Hispanics. Are they racists too for wanting voter ID? Yet President Biden lied about Georgia’s law – which even the Washington Post fact checkers cited, insulted Jim Crow by in effect, comparing voter ID to segregation and lynching's and a bunch of woke fools at corporations and most notably Major League Baseball reacted. Not a single reform passed in Georgia’s new law is the most restrictive in the country. As was cited by many over the weekend, Biden's home state of Delaware has more restrictive voting laws than Georgia. So too does New York – home to Major League Baseball. But facts don’t matter only narratives, so MLB went woke and killed America’s past time. Understand the reason the cancel culture has been so effective is due to the threat of boycotts. Because conservatives and free-thinking Americans generally aren’t wired that way – the dividers on the woke left continue to win a series of never-ending battles to transform all aspects of our society using culture and corporate sellouts to do it. It’s time to fight back financially. A lifelong baseball fan I canceled my MLB Extra Innings package, canceled my MLB account and will not spend a cent on Major League Baseball until and unless they realize the failure of their ways. I made that decision prior to Trump’s call for a boycott, but his call for one is warranted. The cancel culture can work two ways and though it’s not what I prefer...
  2. What do I (you) stand for? A line from another song by another fav of mine – Fun. Nothing about cancel culture is fun but it is freeing. I found that taking action against those who continue to undermine our society is freeing. There’s nothing fun about repeatedly being a victim. And if you don’t stand for fair and honest elections, what do you stand for? Moreover, what will this country become. Supporting the status quo with corporate and professional sports sellouts isn’t working. So, what do you stand for? And if you don’t take a stand now, what will you do when they decide to cancel you?
  3. Faith in nothing from the song Inside Out. A sad but catchy 90’s alternative anthem of sorts by Eve 6. I don’t share the sentiment. I place faith in God, and I still believe that most people are good people. I also believe most people want honest and fair elections as is evidenced by 75% of Americans, including a minimum of 69% of people from every background who are supportive of photo ID’s for voting. Kinda like Major League Baseball, which requires photo ID to pick up tickets at a game. Tickets I’ll most certainly no longer be purchasing. That’s because if you don’t stand for the truth and you don’t stand up for what’s right – I'm through with you. And I strongly encourage you to do the same. It’s now clear this won’t stop until the silent majority puts their money where their mouth is.
