  • With 5,885 new COVID-19 cases reported Wednesday by the Florida Department of Health, Florida’s weekly trend for cases has risen above 5,500 daily for the first time since March 2nd. Florida pacing around 1,100 more daily cases over recent lows reached in mid-March.
  • Over 10 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Florida to over 6.6 million Floridians. This includes over 3.9 million who’ve completed the series. 
  • Good news out of Florida’s Office of Economic & Demographic Research. They’re putting the finishing touches on their annual review of revenues available to the state which is used by the state legislature for budgeting purposes for the upcoming fiscal year. Revenues to the state will total $2 billion more than previous projections due to the strength of Florida’s economy during the pandemic.
  • A new report by Facebook showed the state of Florida’s small businesses is among the best nationally and improving. Based on the report, 84% are currently operating and over-two-thirds of Florida’s businesses are now confident they’ll survive the pandemic.
