- Better news regarding the spread of COVID-19 on Tuesday as the Florida Department of Health reported 5,645 new cases – well below the prior week’s total breaking the month-long trend of a rise in cases. Florida’s averaged about 6,300 cases per day over the past week – in line with where we were on February 17th.
- As of Tuesday’s vaccine report, over 8.1 million Floridians have been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine including 5.2 million who’ve now completed a vaccine series.
- Citizen’s Property Insurance policies will rise by an average of 3% this year, which is half of what they’d requested of state regulators. Known as Florida’s insurer of last resort, Citizen's policies have surged over the past year from 446k+ policies to nearly 570k policies as many private insurers have begun limiting their exposure in Florida while significantly raising rates.
