- With only 3,841 new diagnosed COVID-19 cases, Florida’s weekly trend for daily cases has declined for 11 consecutive days, falling below 4,900 daily for the first time Since March 26th. We’re pacing nearly 2,000 fewer daily cases than we were averaging about two weeks ago.
- Nearly 8.9 million Floridians, or about 41% of Florida’s population have been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This includes over 6.3 million who’ve completed a vaccine series.
- Florida’s 2021 state legislative session closed with the passage of a record $101.5 billion budget. Governor DeSantis received action on every agenda item he outlined in his state of the state speech including education, environmental issues, policing, use of emergency declarations, election integrity and more. The final budget did include $1,000 bonuses for many laid-off hospitality employees, educators and first responders. The special session to consider DeSantis’s recently agreed to Seminole Compact, which includes the enabling of sports betting, is scheduled for May 17th.
- The National U.F.O Reporting Center has confirmed they’re investigating two UFO citing’s captured on video by William Fuentes of Palm Coast. In the home security cam footage, two objects are seen flying around the roof line of Fuentes’s home. This comes on the heels of the recent unidentified creature some referred to as a baby dinosaur in the nearby area.
