  • Governor DeSantis signed HB 45 – The Reproductive Health and Disease Education bill into law on Monday. The law which takes effect July 1st does the following: Requires each school district to publish notice on district's website concerning parent's right to exempt student from reproductive health & disease education; requires district school boards to annually approve instructional materials relating to reproductive health & disease education in an open, noticed public meeting; specifies that reproductive health & disease education instructional materials are to be made available for public review & comment under specific process. Related...
  • DeSantis also signed HB 1523 which does the following: Prohibits theft of trade secret; prohibits trafficking in trade secrets; reclassifies penalty & increases offense severity ranking for an offense committed with specified intent & HB 7017Requiring any state agency or political subdivision to disclose certain gifts or grants received from any foreign source to the Department of Financial Services into law. The laws are aimed at curbing corporate influence and espionage by foreign governments.
  • According to AAA, Florida was the top destination of Memorial Day weekend travelers and is likely to remain at the top through the summer vacation season. They also cited strong demand for cruises once they’re sailing again.
  • According to LinkendIn’s Workforce Report, Jacksonville leads the country in relocations for professional purposes with Miami-Fort Lauderdale ranking 4th and Tampa 7th.
