Top Three Takeaways – July 29th, 2021

  1. The bloom is off the rose for Biden. Ok, so comparing President Biden to a rose in bloom is a stretch anyway but for those who’ve long been frustrated, perhaps dumbfounded by a president who literally was unable to answer the question as to when children under 12 will have access to a COVID-19 vaccine (but managed to try for 40 seconds), yet seemingly was able to sport high approval ratings... The bloom is off that rose. Not even a full court press by the press to prop up Bernie, I mean Biden, is working anymore. Here are President Biden’s approval ratings in the five most recent polls... 58%, 54%, 52%, 49%, 46%. It's not been a good couple of weeks for Bernie, I mean Biden. From the Biden border crisis to 30-year highs in inflation, to vaccine goal failures coinciding with a COVID-19 resurgence complete with a flip-flopping CDC. What isn’t there to like, right? So yes, the average American is finally waking up to the realization that handing the keys to the country over from a president whose policies brought record prosperity for Americans of every demographic, and who’s pandemic leadership brought vaccines to Americans in record time, in for a president who's not even mentally fit to take the keys to a car, but asserts he’s driven an 18-wheeler, may not have been the best idea ever. Which means there’s...
  2. Hope. That’s because Americans are waking up from wokeness. Know why Olympics ratings have been cut in half? We’ve woken up. The entire point of the Olympics is competition over national pride. When the athletes competing don’t even have pride in the country they’re representing what’s the point? I’ll use myself as an example for a moment. Here’s the difference between me today and me of even a couple years ago when it comes to entertainers and sports. It used to be I’d watch until I’d had enough of the nonsense. Eventually I just stopped watching. The ratings for professional sports, traditional Hollywood produced entertainment and yes, these woke Olympics suggest I’m far from alone. You’ve heard the expression “go woke and go broke”, now there are enough of us that have had it to start making it happen. The greater the failures of institutions who’ve gone woke, the greater the hope.
  3. Hiding behind the virus. On Wednesday the Broward School Board hid behind the virus. A day removed from postponing a meeting due to parents protesting mask mandates for the upcoming school year, the board which has presided over its chief technology officer, chief legal counsel and superintendent all being arrested this year decided to hide behind the virus. Rather than allowing for the public to assemble for the meeting, the doors instead were locked. Yes, they allowed for public comment but only one person at a time. As in literally everyone else was to wait outside. But that was just the beginning. During the proceedings Broward’s School Board Chairwoman, aka the Queen of the Convicts, referred to Tuesday’s parent protestors as, wait for it...insurrectionists. No really. That happened. While the focus of Wednesday’s meeting was regarding mask policy, the real masking was the board hiding behind the virus because they’re not used to accountability. I’m hoping for the best out of Broward’s interim superintendent Vickie Cartwright and Palm Beach County’s interim superintendent Michael Burke, however considering the sources who’ve selected them... No masks can hide how utterly incompetent and poor their performances have been. It’s more important than ever for parents to be engaged with everything that’s happening in the classroom.
