The search is on for the family that stole a puppy from a South Florida pet store.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies responded to the theft of a 12-week-old female Chihuahua at Puppy Buddy in Boca Raton on Saturday night.

Investigators say a family of four went into the store and caused a distraction while a woman reached into a puppy pen and snatched the dog named "Rosie" and concealed her in her purse before the family left the store. The puppy is valued at $7,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
