A Thanksgiving food drive is underway in the Village of Palm Springs.
"If someone wants to donate, they just come either to the police department or Village Hall. We'll take all donations for food...macaroni, cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, things like that."
Police Chief Tom Ceccarelli says the donated non-perishable food will be delivered to Palm Beach Harvest, a non-profit that assisted the Village during the pandemic with prepared meals.
They'll be making sure the less fortunate residents in the community will have a Thanksgiving meal.
The goal is to collect 1,500 pounds of food through next Friday, November 19.
