Top Three Takeaways – November 15th, 2021

  1. What’s on the line. Or perhaps better...who? This week’s special state legislative session, called by Governor DeSantis, is about far more than political posturing or DeSantis’ political future beyond next year’s reelection bid (as it’s commonly portrayed in the news). It’s about principal and it’s about over half a million Floridians currently in the workforce who wouldn’t be if not protected from the Biden vaccine mandate. There are still days I think about what’s been happening under the Biden administration and the speed with which our entire system of government has been attempted to be turned on its head and find myself as shocked as I am horrified. The natural reaction is to simply follow the news of the day onto the next issue we find before us – which make no mistake is what the Biden administration wants us to do. Especially as today’s signing ceremony over the so-called bi-partisan infrastructure legislation takes place. The legislation, that as I illustrated last week, shafts Florida by only providing our state with 24% of what our population and federal tax revenue share should be. It’s more constructive to look at what’s before us in context. Would you have ever guessed that in your lifetime the President of the United States would order forced vaccinations of nearly the entire adult population? Really think about that for a moment. How patently un-American is that? It’s about as un-American as assuming guilt instead of presuming innocence, isn’t it? With the Kyle Rittenhouse case set to be turned over to the jury in Kenosha, Wisconsin today - we’re reminded that in Joe Biden’s America he’s already guilty. He let us know last year that Kyle Rittenhouse was a White supremist, despite the fact that the only three people he shot were White. Details. So back to what’s on the line starting today in Florida...
  2. Preserving freedom. Think about how vastly different the pandemic has played out in Florida compared to one of the lockdown states. This pandemic, even preceding Joe Biden’s attempted hijacking of the US Constitution, has shown how critically important our state and local governments are indetermining our everyday life. Whether our companies are open or closed, whetherwe’reable to work or not work. Whether our children can attend classroom education. Whether we have any rights over what happens with our children inside of the classroom. And of course, most recently, whether weretainany personal choice overwhat’sinjected into our body – or that of our children (as states like California have mandated COVID-19 vaccinations in order for children to attend school). All of that and more iswhat’son the line in Florida’s state legislative session this week. Having to preserve freedom at the state level is unfortunate to say the least. Especially with the President of the United States sworn to uphold the Constitution and thus our individual liberty promised under it. Likewise,it’ssimilarly unfortunate that locally elected bodies, like our school boards, have decided to violate the law and your parental rights in the process. But they have. This is the world we live in today because elections have consequences. The four bills being considered before the Florida legislature this week, if passed, will help protect approximately 532,000 Floridians from losing their careers, help ensure school boards and like government bodiescan’tso easily abuse your parental rights, and assert Florida’s sovereign independence in the name of preserving freedom. And guess what...
  3. Freedom works. Four consecutive weeks. That’s how many weeks in a row Florida’s had the fewest population adjusted COVID-19 cases in the country. Incidentally, which state is now leading the country in infections? The land of the Bern and Communist ice cream. Vermont has the highest vaccination rate in the country and the highest COVID-19 case rate in the country. Think about how Florida was treated by the press in August when we led the country in infection rate. How’s Vermont being treated as the most vaccinated state in the country with the highest infection rate in real-time? Further, how could Biden or any official ever justify the forced firing of anyone who’s not been vaccinated for COVID-19 based on this inconvenient truth out of Vermont? Vaccines are clearly not the way out of the pandemic, but pragmatism is. As usual freedom works. Or as DeSantis would say, freedom over Faucism – which is the sect of Communism Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Ben & Jerry adhere to.
