Building The Wall & Questionable Medicine – Top 3 Takeaways – October 6th, 2023
- Build the wall. The walking, talking, occasionally falling, abomination of a president that is Joe Biden made ending the border wall a day one priority. No, not just as in a platitude the way politicians say “on my first day in office”, blah, blah, blah...but on January 20th, 2021 – Joe Biden’s first day in office he signed the executive action entitled: Proclamation on the Termination Of Emergency With Respect To The Southern Border Of The United States And Redirection Of Funds Diverted To Border Wall Construction. Quoting the order: Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution. It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security. It shall be the policy of my Administration that no more American taxpayer dollars be diverted to construct a border wall. Ahh the irony of ending a border emergency declaration by creating an unprecedented one by doing so. Now, not only did Joe Biden create the greatest border crisis in world history by doing this along with the clarion call to all would be drug traffickers, human sex traffickers and run-of-the-mill would-be illegal immigrants that the border was wide open for them to flood in as they were to see fit... He spent $2 billion to carry out that anti-American order of his. That's right, it cost us as taxpayers $2 billion to stop the construction of the border wall. Joe Biden said at the time that there would “not be another foot” of border wall constructed under his watch. Well, Joe Biden was proven to be completely wrong with his decision and is now proven to be a liar, which is actually completely consistent with who he is and his presidency. The border crisis has become so bad that Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who’s never seen a border he didn’t want open, or a Border Patrol officer he wouldn’t punish for doing the job of attempting to protect our border, that guy said this...There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States. The crisis is so great that Mayorkas is using emergency authorizations to break 26 different federal laws to do it including the Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act and The Endangered Species Act. Imagine for a moment how this would be reported if the Trump administration had attempted such a thing. I can envision the AP reporting now... Headline...The Trump Administration Really Does Want to Poison Your Water! Speaking of Trump, he has something to say about this on Truth Social... As I have stated often, over thousands of years, there are only two things that have consistently worked, wheels, and walls! Will Joe Biden apologize to me and America for taking so long to get moving... Well Trump shouldn’t expect the apology from Dementia Joe, nor should we because Biden was asked if border walls work, and he said: No but that I can’t stop that. Got that? Try not to think too hard about it. It not only doesn’t make sense it isn’t true. Just like almost everything he says and does. But now that we’re talking about actually building the wall once again...
- Here’s where we left off. Throughout the Trump Administration I brought you regular Border Wall Updates. My final one came on January 14th, 2021. Here’s where we left off... As the Trump administration winds down, the president made his first public appearance since the chaos at the Capitol, at the southern border. A campaign which built momentum in 2015 on back of the mantra to build the wall, was contrasted with a Presidency winding down and reflecting on the border wall which had indeed been built. Throughout the course of the Trump administration, I’ve periodically provided an update on the progress of the construction of the border wall. With the realization that construction will end immediately upon the onset of the Biden administration, here’s a final border wall update reflecting what was accomplished during the four years of the Trump administration at our Southwest border. Over 1,000 miles of border wall, 452 new miles of wall under the Trump administration, 54% of our Southern border with Mexico containing some form of barrier – up from 34% pre-Trump. It’s notable that most of the progress on a new border wall occurred within the past year, as the administration won a series of legal challenges allowing for the construction of the wall. At the pace which was occurring most recently, had President Trump remained in office for another four years, the entire southern border wall would have been able to be completed. Politics have clouded the border wall from the first speech with which Donald Trump mentioned building it. In this moment, as we reflect on what occurred, it’s important for perspective regarding where this conversation began. With Border Patrol agents themselves. It’s worth noting that the idea regarding the need for fixing and expanding of the border wall wasn’t Trump’s. It came from those in Border Patrol tasked with protecting our border. For this reason, hopefully the progress that’s been made won’t be undermined by the next administration even if the wall won’t be finished. Well, as we saw it most certainly has been undermined. But with a resumption in the most vulnerable area in Texas immediately, it’s a reminder that we’re actually more than halfway to where we need to be. And if we can hang in as a country for a little more than another year, we can have the Remain in Mexico Policy on day one, along with the resumption of the border wall which can be completed before the end of his second term in office (and likely sooner). The precedent that’s being set, by the Biden administration using emergency declarations to bypass laws to get this done – will put an end to any potential legal challenges to Trump’s efforts in the future.
- Striking outside with a mask on. That’s my third takeaway today. You’ve heard about the Kaiser Permanente strike. Not that it would ever seem to be advisable to seek healthcare from someone who chooses to go on strike (is their priority really your health). But among the masses of people, I’d never seek healthcare from, was a specific cautionary tale for those who might. I saw a dude outside, picketing around, with a mask on. It might be a public service for him not to be providing healthcare.
