  • Governor DeSantis signed two bills into law on Wednesday including the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services bill which bans the production of so-called ā€œlab grown meatā€. The first-in-the-nation legislation was touted by the governor and Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson as a ā€œpreservation of the integrity of American agricultureā€. Floridaā€™s largest agricultural segment isĀ beef production.Ā 
  • Florida Fish and Wildlife announced theyā€™ve identified several people aboard the boat which was caught on video dumping trash into the ocean during the annualĀ unsanctioned water party on Lake Boca known asĀ the Boca Bash on Sunday. The FWC said theyā€™re working with the State Attorneyā€™s office on appropriate charges. Ā 
  • After changing names to Rosemary Square, and more recently The Square, the Downtown West Palm Beach commercial operator of food and entertainment spaces has announced a return to the name CityPlace. In an Instagram post for CityPlace the operators stated: The name reflects who we are as a brand as we continue to build on what we've established in downtown West Palm Beach.Ā 
  • Clear skies and highs in theĀ mid 80ā€™s today, which is about three degrees warmer thanĀ for this date. We should have similar weather throughout the rest of the week.Ā 
  • Gas prices rose six cents per gallon on Wednesday. The average price statewide for regular unleaded is currently $3.64 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.76 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.65 and in Indian River County the average is $3.58 per gallon.Ā
