Sanity Is One Week Away – Top 3 Takeaways – January 13th, 2025
- Sanity is one week away. As we’re now down to the final week of the Biden administration... That’s worth saying again – it's cathartic... We’re not out of the woods yet. President Biden’s past week of policy has been his busiest since his first week in office. Since becoming president of the United States Biden has issued 155 executive orders, 236 presidential memoranda, 722 proclamations, and 150 notices. September of 2021 was the last month he took as much executive action in a single month as he has through the first week of this year. Already this year Biden has issued executive orders ranging from the banning of the Acquisition of US Steel, to matters of Homeland Security, the Treasury Department, the Justice Department, Agriculture, the environment and yes illegal immigration (and his effort to continue to attempt to legitimize it). On Friday, President Biden signed an EO aimed at attempting to prevent the incoming Trump administration from deporting over 300,000 illegal immigrants from El Salvador, Sudan, Ukraine and Venezuela. The order directed continued TPS, or temporary protected status for these people who’ve illegally entered our country. And why not, right? It’s not like non-citizen crime under the Biden administration is up 914%? Oh, wait it is. Well, it’s not like we have a Venezuelan gang problem in this country and for that matter in South Florida? Oh, wait, we do. And here’s the point. Be it by the grace of God and common-sense voters Biden is just a week away from being retired along with his vice president. But the getting there is fraught with an ambitious agenda that Biden is enacting daily to attempt to keep his policies in place. If nothing else this shows the intent with which President Biden has executed his failed plan. He hasn’t owned up to his mistakes which have failed this country. He’s doubling and tripling down on them as he’s leaving office. Trumped Truthed this about the developments: Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these "Orders" will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!! And he’s right. Joe has moved to do all of that and more with recently signed executive orders. But yes, thankfully sanity is but a week away when deportations, not special protections, will be extended to those whose very first actions in this country involved breaking the law, among a host of other policies. And about those...
- 100 orders. There’s no need to discuss Trump’s agenda for his first 100 days. There’s no doubt he’s intent on getting down to business on his very first day. President Trump issued a total of 220 executive orders during his first administration. It’s possible he could accomplish close to half of that in his first week back in office. In a recent meeting with Senate Republicans, the president-elect said he’s preparing about 100 executive orders to sign at about the time that he’s sworn into office next Monday. And those orders are said to run the gambit from enacting a 180 on illegal immigration to a reversal on energy policy as well. Quoting the Associated Press: While executive actions are common on the first day of a new White House, as a new president puts a stamp on certain priorities, what Trump and his team are planning is an executive punch unseen in modern times as he prepares to wield power in untested ways, bypassing the legislative machinery of Congress. The funny thing is the way the AP framed it seemingly was aimed at attempting to scare readers into worrying about Trump’s use of executive authority. I read it as an exciting first step towards restoring this country to its former glory. Speaking of the AP and company....
- They haven’t changed a thing. If you haven’t paid much attention to news reporting from the alphabet networks (ABC, CBS, NBC), the New York Times, the Washington Post, etc. of late... Good for you, you have good company and mostly what you’ve missed is more fake news. My expectations were low regarding how all the fake news networks and organizations would handle Trump 2.0. Specifically, I was interested to see if they’d make more of an effort to at least feign objectivity given the kitchen sink they all threw at Donald Trump last year only for it to spectacularly backfire. The American people overwhelmingly rejected their fake news reporting, and most of those organizations have seen historic losses in viewership, readership and engagement since the election, as even those duped by their fake news reporting have fled as they realized the extent to which they’d been lied to with Donald Trump winning the largest election victory by a Republican since Ronald Reagan was still in office. Still, they’ve managed to exceed my exceedingly low expectations for them on the downside. How many times has Joe Biden lied since becoming president? How many times can you remember the MSM fact checking him during a news report? How about fact checking him within a story? Here’s an idea of how hostile the climate continues to be with their news reporting. Take these two recent stories. Associated Press: Trump, the 'America First' candidate, has a new preoccupation: Imperialism and this from the Washington Post: Trump hates globalism. But he seems to like imperialism. Neither one of those are opinion pieces, they’re presented by what are alleged to be their straight news reporters. So yeah, they’ve learned nothing, they’ve changed nothing, and we can expect to see perhaps at least every bit as much dishonesty and hostility directed towards President Trump the second time around. But the good news is...Americans continue to be hip to what fake news is. While the, GSS media continues to dig in against Trump, more Americans continue to approve of Trump. President-elect Trump’s approval rating has reached a new record high for him over the past week...An average of 53% (compared to 42% disapproval). You can compare that to the news media’s new record low approval rating of 31%. The more they lie the more Trump continues to rise.
