Hysterical Media (Funny or Absurd) Headlines for July 25th:
Bottom Line: I've ID'd some in the media as generally being Godless, soulless and slanderous (the Godless/soulless thing is a theory...The slanderous part - that's pretty real). I've decided to grab some of the most outrageous headlines to illustrate the point of just how outrageous it's become. Here are today's examples. For my commentary on these headlines click the audio below.
Has Trump Finally Entered the Death Spiral?
T.A. Frank, Vanity Fair:
As competence diminishes and the dependence on family increases, performance will get even worse, and Trump will increasingly follow his whims. Indications are strong that Trump itches daily to fire Mueller, which would set off a giant mess.
Trump's Putin Meeting Should Set Off Alarm Bells
David Axelrod, CNN
The Kook, 'the Mooch' and the Loot
Charles Blow, New York Times
On Friday a "president"with no political experience brought on a communications director with no communications experience. Trump tapped Anthony Scaramucci, A Wall Street snake investment huckster...
Will Rahn, CBS News
Impeachment? Unlikely, assuming Trump holds on to his base, which has stuck with him through all the other nightmares. It's one of those paradoxes of the Trump presidency. Firing Mueller would seem, on the face of it, an insane thing to do. And yet it feels like the thing he will of course do.
The material here is amazing and wonderful in it's absurdity simultaneously. Once again, if you look at these through the prism of Donald Trump being President, and more elected Republicans serving in the United States since the 1920's...it's pretty hilarious! The air of desperation, advocacy and instructions for their "resistance" is comical. These people really do take themselves completely seriously!
