Top Three Takeaways – October 29th, 2021

  1. Joe Biden’s driven an electric school bus. I mean of course he has, right? That’s what he explained to us yesterday as he announced that he has personally tested the new electric school buses which would be rolled out as part of his George Constanza inspired Human Fund. Recall it was just in July that he informed us that “I used to drive an 18-wheeler, man”. And it was only this week that for the 5th time he shared the story of the time he rode Amtrak while he was Vice-President, and this happened. Quoting from Monday... I’m getting on one Friday and then one of the senior guys on Amtrak, Angelo Negri … walks up to me and he goes, ‘Joey baby!’ He grabs my cheek. And I thought the Secret Service was gonna blow his head off. I swear to God, true story. I said, ‘What’s up, Ang?’ He said, ‘Joey. I read in a paper. I read in the paper, you traveled 1,000 — 1,200,000 miles on Air Force planes.’ Because they keep meticulous tabs of it. You know how many miles you travel on Amtrak, Joey? … 2,200,000 miles … So Joey, I don’t want to hear this about the Air Force anymore. Now, of course career politician Joe Biden never held a CDL and sure Angelo Negri retired in 1993, so it’s only natural that Joe Biden’s now driven an electric school bus. But then again, the very presser itself was the announcement of the “framework” for a deal which also didn’t exit. So hey, he might be a prolific liar but at least he’s consistent. Maybe while overseas, he’ll recount the time he walked on the moon. Meanwhile, instead of “Build, Back, Better” - he’s been responsible for tearing down from within. That’s because we’ve lost...
  2. 5% of the workforce due to vaccine mandates. Want to know why companies can’t find the employees they need? Want to know why you can’t find what you want at the store? Want to know why you’re paying the highest inflation rate in decades for what you can find? According to a new study by the Kaiser Family Foundation, 5% of workers have already left their employer due to a vaccine mandate. As was outlined, employer mandates proliferated after President Biden’s September announcement of a forthcoming mandate for private employers in addition to mandates for government workers. Now, here’s the next piece of this puzzle. According to the study, only 25% of employers have issued mandates to date. That means we’ve lost 5% of our workforce with only a quarter subjected to mandates. What happens when Biden’s OSHA rule hits and 67% of employees face a mandate? Forget Biden’s idea of build back better, his policies are weapons of mass job destruction...and it’s possible, if not likely, that the worst is yet to come. Contrast that with Florida being...
  3. The Freest State. That’s what Governor DeSantis had to say at the 2021 Future of Florida Forum. Quoting DeSantis: We believe that we needed to protect their jobs and make sure businesses could operate and we figured we’d work it out. It was mentioned on the jobs in September that we (added) 84,500 jobs and the nation reported about 194,000, so we’re clearly way, way punching above our weight class in terms of what we’re seeing. And that discrepancy is not something that would just happen by accident. I mean, it’s happening, because there was a much sounder approach that was done here in the state of Florida. Now just imagine what Florida would be doing if Joe Biden ran the country like Ron DeSantis has run Florida or if Donald Trump were still president? Although tomorrow night might be the first night this year, I’m glad Trump isn’t president. If he were he wouldn’t be in Atlanta doing the tomahawk chop. On Monday in my Top 3 Takeaways, I spoke of the poetic justice of the Atlanta Braves playing in the World Series in a year in which MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred sold out to Stacy Abrams and the race-baiting social justice warriors by stealing the All-Star game from majority-Black Atlanta and handing it to lily-White Denver in the name of racial politics. But wait, there’s more. What I didn’t know then was that Donald Trump would be at the game Saturday night in Atlanta. The odds makers should add additional betting lines. Fans should be able to play the over-under on the number of tomahawk chops, Let’s Go Brandon chants and Trump chants. This has all of the makings. Let’s go Braves...and Brandon!
