Ron DeSantis is Not a Nazi- Top Three Takeaways – January 18th, 2022

  1. This just in... Ron DeSantis is not a Nazi. In the grand scheme of failed politicians, you get all kinds. Jimmy Carter was a generally nice man in way over his head as president. Ditto Joe Biden minus the generally nice man part. Then there’s Nikki Fried. It’s not my intent to put you on the spot, but can you name one accomplishment of Nikki’s in her now three years as Agriculture Commissioner? There’s a good chance you’re more aware of her illegal gas pump stickers with her face plastered on them at the onset of her term than any accomplishment she delivered in her capacity as Agriculture Commissioner. And with reason, despite having recently released her “Clean Water Initiative”, which would include new standards for use of pesticides and fertilizers by the Ag industry – one might wonder why it took three years and an election year for her to finally produce a plan. The likely reason, for the fully informed on these matters, comes back to who she really is. A Fort Lauderdale attorney, whose partner is a preeminent marijuana player, masquerading as Agriculture Commissioner which was only ever intended to be a stepping stone to attempting to become governor of Florida. As I reported extensively last spring and Brian Mast has highlighted...
  2. Nikki Fried violated the federal Clear Waterways Act, by failing to measure and report data required under it. This while my research into which agricultural crops produce the most contaminants. The answer – overwhelmingly and most likely not coincidently marijuana. Anyway, you might still be wondering what I’m talking about since my top takeaway was that Ron DeSantis is not a Nazi. Friday, while being interviewed by Florida Public Radio, Fried said this: Instead of listening and trying to govern with the people, he is trying to govern over the people, and, you know, that, I’m sorry, I’m a student of history, too. I saw the rise of Hitler. I have studied Hitler and how he got to power, you know, wanting his own militia. This governor is doing it for the sole purposes of power and doing so to make fear and . . . blaming certain parts of our society and culture, and that’s exactly what Hitler did to the Jews back during World War II. In my first show in 2022 I said to get ready because desperate people do desperate things and Democrats are desperate. That’s true and in the case of Fried, she’s a failed politician, who’s desperate enough to compare Ron DeSantis to Adolph Hitler. Apparently, she thinks that plays in a Democrat primary as she’s currently the underdog against Charlie Crist. I for one don’t think Florida’s rank-and-file Democrat voters are anywhere near that morally bankrupt. Just Nikki Fried. Or as Lt. Governor Jeanette Nunez has previously referred to her – “Nikki Weed”. Her career as a politician can’t be relegated to the dustbin of history fast enough. Speaking of women looking for trouble...
  3. Florida’s League of Women Voters are looking for trouble where it doesn’t exist. Next to passing a budget, the only other function the State Legislature must complete in the current session is redistricting based on the 2020 Census. To date Florida's process has widely been recognized by both independent analysts and even Democrat operatives, as being extremely fair. In fact, the leading independent researchers in the country, Princeton’s Gerrymandering Project, rated Florida’s draft maps a “B”, or good rating. That’s the highest rating issued in the country in this year’s cycle. In other words, Florida’s maps are the fairest under consideration by any state legislature in the country this year. It’s clear that the Florida Legislature has been highly sensitive to not repeat the failures of ten years ago which resulted in their maps being rejected by the courts and a map advanced by the League of Women Voters being adopted in its place. But about that League of Women Voters... They’ve decided to attempt to suggest that the current efforts aren’t appropriately considerate of minority groups. This is despite the basis for the maps being the League’s very own maps which were adopted from the previous cycle. The argument now is that growth of minority groups needs to be geographically reconsidered. The quote from the President of Florida’s League was “There has been so much change in the population”. Right, that’s why we’re redistricting. Assertions of racial bias without evidence of it, is itself outrageous and it’s an indication of looking for trouble where it doesn’t exist.
