How Low Can Joe Go? Disney’s Destruction & Florida’s Map - Top 3 Takeaways – May 16th, 2022

  1. How low can Joe Go? I still marvel at the thought that anyone could look at Joe Biden’s performance as president and think – yeah. Give me more of that guy’s sweet action. Joe Biden’s administration is a dumpster fire full of burning poo. As always, I don’t throw around characterizations I can’t backup with facts. I could take the time to illustrate how Biden is demonstrably the worst president since Jimmy Carter, but I really don’t think you need me to. You live it every day. And based on the most recent polling in Florida. You get it. Joe Biden’s current approval rating in Florida is back to being at record lows. Sporting just 34% approval compared to 57% disapproval – it appears that just about the only people who still roll with Joe are last year’s six-masked hermits who potentially are still wearing three masks and haven’t emerged from their closet to see the full effect of Bidenflation. Not only is Biden’s approval rating so low that only the most militant Democrats are still pledging allegiance to him in Florida, but he’s also now hit a new record low for support with the youngest voters. Only 26% of Floridians 18-34 currently support ole’ Joe and his highest approval rating among any age range is only 39%. That’s with those over 65. More dramatic still, Florida’s Independents. To say Joe’s lost the middle is an understatement. Biden’s approval rating among Independents likewise is at a new record low with only 24% support. This is illustrative of not only how truly pitiful of a President Biden’s been, but how radically far-left the Democrat party has moved to lose over three-quarters of the middle. This is all earned, but how low can Joe go? We’re likely to soon see. The masked hermits are bound to emerge from their closets eventually. Speaking of declining ratings...
  2. The damage Disney’s done to their reputation is now quantifiable. Disney’s dishonest characterization of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law as “Don’t Say Gay”, combined with their pledge to fight Florida’s effort from having young children sexualized, combined with their pledge to engage in social engineering with their programming aimed at young children – has done a great deal of damage to their reputation...as it should. NBC’s most recent national poll included questions pertaining to DeSantis and Disney. First, it’s notable that only 1% of the poll's participants choose to identify as something other than a man or a woman (Since that’s at the crux of much of the radical left’s social-sexual agenda). Next, 5% more Americans now have a “very positive” opinion of Ron DeSantis than they do Disney. Let that one sink in for a moment. Only 15% of Americans now hold a “very positive” view of Disney with only an additional 18% holding even a somewhat positive view of Disney. In other words, Disney’s positive approval rating nationally is now down to just 33%. By comparison, Disney’s now only two points more popular than Kamala Harris. In other words, Pepe Le Pew currently stinks less than the Mouse. The implications here are many. This wasn’t a Florida specific poll. This was national. And how much damage has Disney done to their brand? The average company in the United States is viewed favorably by 56% of Americans. No kidding. The Mouse House is now 23% less popular than the average American corporation. That’s the reason Disney’s fired their comm’s director and has gone silent. Their woke politics have come home to roost. And that’s great news for those of us who’d like to be able to consume products and services without getting a dose of woke politics along the way. If this much damage could be done to Disney – it's sure to reverberate to other would-be wokesters in corporate America.
  3. Florida’s map is back for now. On Friday, I pointed out how Florida might have a map problem. While nothing’s changed regarding that potential reality since Friday... Something did change regarding the effective congressional map in force in Florida. The state’s recently ratified map is back. Florida’s Secretary of State Laurel Lee, as one of her final acts as Secretary of State, officially appealed the state Circuit Court ruling striking down five Congressional districts from the DeSantis map recently ratified by the state. In so doing, the lower court’s ruling has been stayed. This means DeSantis’ map is back. At least for now. There’s no clear timetable for when the appeal will be heard, but time is now of the essence. Federal candidate qualifying in Florida ends in mid-June – meaning the state’s map needed for Florida’s August primary elections needs to be settled for this cycle by then too. This cycle, and whatever will be with Florida’s map, should move very quickly from here.
