If there’s any story, any comparison, that sums up just what an abject failure Joe Biden has been as president. It’s this one. First, he made us dependent on foreign sources of energy. Now under his watch the US is dependent on foreign sources of baby formula. Baby formula. It’s the kind of stuff you can’t make up. Honestly, has there been a time in your life in which you thought the United States would declare a national emergency over baby formula? Was there ever a time you thought we'd be at the mercy of other countries to be able to obtain it? And would you have ever imagined that if those two occurrences would have happened, that the President of the United States would have stockpiled baby formula during the crisis to send, not to Americans who paid for it with their taxes, but to illegal immigrants at our border? Now, for those who perhaps have stocked up with emergency food supplies previously, your answer was probably yes – that you did imagine the seemingly unimaginable. For everyone else, probably not. And here’s the point. Two of them actually. Never again can we as a country take elections for granted. Just as every superpower in world history has fallen out of similar hubris, thinking that they’re too big to fail (or something like that), so too will the United States if we continue to allow what happened two years ago to continue at the ballot box. As it stands, we have one hell of a slog ahead of us with over two and a half years of the Biden administration left, regardless of what happens this November. The United States is now attempting to cut deals with Iran and Venezuela for oil and we’re having to import baby formula. Aside from the inflation crisis, border crisis, geopolitical crises, these are the early signs of a fallen empire brought about by failed leadership. As Americans we get what we vote for. Congratulations. Do better, and demand better of those around you. Or just imagine what we’ll be forced to import next.
