Truth Be Told & Political Miscalculations Top 3 Takeaways – June 30th, 2022
- Not to be distracted. I mean not that 41-year high inflation, a pending recession, a border crisis, geopolitical crises and reliance on Australian goats for baby formula is a big deal or anything. But if you ever had any doubt about how truly effective Donald Trump was as President of the United States...you need look no further than the extent the dishonest left will go to attempt to keep him out of office. The J-6th Committee, absurd joke that it is, is but the latest act of desperation to get Trump. From the Steel Dosier and bogus Trump-Russia collusion narrative, including his being bogusly impeached for the fraud carried out by the DNC and allies within intelligence agencies – tales so tall being told third hand by a former Mark Meadows aide that the Secret Service itself is seeking to set the record straight to the Committee. But here’s the thing. And it is a thing. As I mentioned yesterday, the real “emergency” for Tuesday’s J6 dog and pony show was actually the need to bury the story that a voicemail from Joe Biden to Hunter Biden has been recovered which proves Joe was in communication with Hunter about the foreign business dealings which are the subject of a federal investigation. Something Joe has repeatedly denied having any knowledge of or having ever even talked with Hunter about. Again, what presented Tuesday, even if it all were true – suddenly necessitated an unscheduled emergency hearing? This just in. Nothing that happened on January 6th 2021, changed between Monday and Tuesday. Just the perceived need by the left to dominate the news cycle with it. But given that Democrats were successful in dishonestly wagging the dog once again, I’d like to address another question.
- Do you care more about the country or winning elections? Many one-time Trump supporters have been quick to walk away from him over his verbose persona. Did you ever stop to think that you’re playing exactly into the hand of Democrats? Do you not realize that their biggest concern to this day is attempting to prevent Trump from once again rising to power? Do you acknowledge that Donald Trump was the best policy president since Regan? Do you acknowledge that he was working to root out the deep state actors responsible for the corruption committed against him? The desperation on the left to continue to attempt to continue to get Trump should be further confirmation about the extent to which they feel he was effective and the fear of him finishing the job given the opportunity again. Are you being distracted? It's easy to be with a Governor as effective as Ron DeSantis. But it's also easy to become distracted from the bigger picture. Turning your back on Trump is exactly what Democrats want you to do. Yes, Trump has lots of warts, then again don’t we all. But his level of effectiveness in serving the best interests of this country is still being evidenced. From a Supreme Court which is returning to Constitutionalism, after decades of various degrees of judicial activism, to the desperate lengths the left continues to go to attempt to destroy him.
- Political miscalculation confirmed. Since the initial SCOTUS leak in early May I’ve spoken of what I’ve perceived as a political miscalculation. The miscalculation being that the overturning of Roe v Wade would become a single-issue rally cry which would create a surge of support for Democrats. And that perspective was shaped by data which illustrated most Americans now believe in abortion restrictions starting at six weeks, once there’s a detectable heartbeat, and which indicated most Americans didn’t really understand what would happen with Roe being overturned. I also illustrated how, with more discussion of the abortion issue, voters were becoming more informed about what it really is at each stage of the pregnancy. History has shown that as voters become more informed about abortion, they become more inclined to support limitations or outright bans on it. I mean, once you see a head, a heart and hands and then the elimination of all of them – that’s something you can’t unsee and that’s something you can’t unknow. And it's for those reasons I’m not surprised to see the first accredited polling on the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe showing most Americans approving of the decision. According to Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll – by a margin of 50% to 45% Americans approve of the SCOTUS decision. This is as Biden’s approval ratings languish at fresh lows along with over three-quarters of the country continuing to think we’re heading in the wrong direction. Political miscalculation confirmed. As per usual, I’ve not made a career out of being wrong.
