The Deep State Conducted the Mar-a-Lago Raid - Top 3 Takeaways – August 11th, 2022

  1. Without fear or favor. That’s the official line from Attorney General Merrick Garland. Prior to the Mar-a-Lago raid, since the Mar-a-Lago raid it's clear that Garland truly means no one is above the law. That’s why as one of the earliest actions by Garland’s DOJ, they indicted Hunter Biden for leveraging his father’s position as Vice-President to profiteer as a board member for the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma and his Chinese government controlled “business” interest. It’s why additional charges against Hunter were brought when video evidence of him breaking numerous federal laws was present in videos of him with guns, hookers and crack. You know, Grand Theft Auto style. It’s also why Garland aggressively pursued expediting John Durham’s investigation into the Russian-collusion hoax against Trump – leading to charges against those who signed off on the FISA warrant requests to spy on Trump and create the hoax – James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Sally Yates, Dana Boneta, Rod Rosenstein and Bruce Ohr. It’s also why a new special prosecutor was established to investigate the actions of the Clinton Foundation, and specifically the use of it to peddle foreign influence, including the Uranium One deal with Russia, during her time as Secretary of State. Of course, there is much more he’s pursuing because after all, he’s a righteous man who pursues justice for all – without fear or favor. Oh wait, what’s that? None of that has actually happened? Instead, he’s squarely focused on continuing to fraudulently use the DOJ and FBI to target a political adversary? Say it isn’t so. I’d heard and read in so many stories just how principled this man is. I’ll give Garland this. Garland is willing to use his post without fear or favor of the law or consideration for the citizens of this country with which he’s tasked with providing justice. So, here’s the thing...
  2. Don’t fear it, change it. I get it. Believe me, I do. I use satire as a coping mechanism for getting by given just how far this country has fallen. But the last thing any of us who love this country and believe in what it’s supposed to represent, and historically has, should do is give up on it. Think about this. The DOJ and FBI threw the kitchen sink at trying to prevent Donald Trump from ever becoming president. It didn’t work. They threw the kitchen sink at him while he was president to attempt to end his presidency. It didn’t work. And the ongoing effort now will only end up working if we allow it to. As I tweeted yesterday, I'm hearing from many lamenting what this country has become & fearing what comes next w/a corrupted DOJ/FBI. Don't fear it. Change it. It's our responsibility to take action at the ballot box. That's where accountability comes from & we just happen to be in an election cycle. Flipping Congress is the first step in bringing about accountability. Not only would it end the dog and pony show hearings, it would lead to investigations into these rogue actors, including Merrick Garland. Investigations which can lead to criminal referrals. A la what House Democrats have been angling towards with the dog and pony show. There’s no doubt selective justice is at best what this country has come to. There’s also no doubt that it’s up to you to change it. We get the government we vote for. Which incidentally, what we’re living through from the economy to selective justice serves as a reminder of just how botched this country’s collective decision making was a couple of years ago. I blame the ‘vid. We can do better (and we generally did in Florida). Don’t fear it, change it.
  3. Classroom politics. As school is back in session for many students already in Florida, so too are the teachers who participate in unions which account for greater than 70% of Florida’s public educators. And these union members are putting their money where their politics are, or should I say that of their unions at a minimum? In any event the biggest donors to Charlie Crist are you and me. What am I talking about? Well, we pay for the salaries of public-school teachers. Over 70% of Florida’s public-school teachers are members of a union. And the largest donors to Charlie Crist are teachers’ unions. So yeah, we’re being forced to finance Charlie Crist’s campaign with the roofs over our heads. Ain’t the unholy alliance between Democrats and teachers’ unions grand? So, here’s the school card. The American Federation of Teachers – which is the parent of every teachers’ union in Florida has forked over $500,000 of our money to Charlie and chipping in with an additional $50,000 are the Florida Education Association, the United Teachers of Dade and the Democratic Public Education Caucus of Florida. Quoting Charlie on our forced contributions to his campaign... It’s deeply meaningful that our campaign’s single largest donation comes from the teachers who are working so hard to give our kids a bright future. Hmm, actually Charlie, it came from us. You know the tax paying types who are the ones working hard to pay for the schools and to pay for the teachers who then choose to give our money to a union who chooses to give it to you. But yes, thank you for your reminder that your biggest donors are our public-school teachers. There’s nothing like good ole’ classroom politics. Makes you feel good about what’s happening in the classroom, right?
