The Israel-Hamas War Reveals True Colors - Top Three Takeaways

The Israel-Hamas War Reveals True Colors - Top Three Takeaways – October 12th, 2023

  1. True colors. I’ve always said you learn the most about who people really are during times of adversity. This week, in the wake of the Iranian-sponsored Hamas terror attacks on Israel we’ve been presented as a society, as a world, with extreme adversity. And along with that adversity there has been no shortage of people exposing who they really are and what they really stand for. Locally we saw it in South Florida on Sunday as a rally in support of the terrorists took place in Fort Lauderdale. It also came in the form of the South Florida Muslim Federation, which issued this alarming statement effectively blaming Israel for what’s happened: All life is sacred, and we uphold the right of every human to live in dignity, freedom, peace, and security. We oppose the violence and terrorizing of civilians on both sides. South Florida Muslims are gravely concerned about the unfolding crisis in Gaza, and the entire region. The year to date 2023 has been among the deadliest for Palestinians, with more than 250 Palestinians killed by Israelis prior to last week. The lack of progress toward addressing the root cause - the ongoing occupation and subjugation of the Palestinian people, has only led to suffering and misery. Again, that’s your South Florida Muslim Federation. Some of us might point to the actual problem being a terror organization, Hamas, which was voted into power by the Palestinian people, and is currently supported by at least 75% of the Palestinian people and that has a stated goal of “destroying Israel”. Just a minor detail and minor omission from our Muslim neighbors here in South Florida. So yeah, there are their true colors. And as I spoke of yesterday, yes, this is still about Islam – because no, that Muhammad guy hasn’t become any more peaceful in his proposed conflict resolution in addressing those that don’t pay homage to him. And the Islamic terrorists aren’t doing anything new that hasn’t been done for 1,500 years in the name of Muhammad. Nor for that matter is the SFL Muslim Federation doing anything differently than Muslim groups have historically done in attempting to use the ignorance of others in their defense of condemning the Jewish people for the ills of the world. And on that note consider...
  2. Turkey’s response. In theory Turkey is a NATO ally. In reality, with friends like Turkey who needs enemies? But in the context of true colors being shown consider this. The Turkish Deputy Minister of Education posted a message on X to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What did the message say? One day they will shoot you too. You will die. Gives you the warm and fuzzies about what’s being taught in Turkish classrooms doesn’t it? And for good measure, the Turkish President Erdogan, condemned the United States for moving resources into the region in defense of Israel. And that’s supposed to be our closest Islamic-led ally. Again, each of these actions, during a time of adversity, serves to show one’s true colors. And speaking of which...
  3. BLM’s true colors. If you’re a longtime listener, you know I’ve been warning of the Black Lives Matter agenda before most people knew it was a thing. For me the eye opener and my introduction to BLM was in July of 2016, when five Dallas police officers were murdered in an ambush by a man who cited “black lives matter”. That was soon followed by BLM’s own Colin Kaepernick using his clothing to depict police officers as pigs, while his fellow BLMers were chanting “police are like pigs, fry them like bacon”. That was the very organization which morphed into the ultimate opportunist in June of 2020, when in the immediate aftermath of the murder of George Floyd they hit the jackpot with every woke corporate sellout throwing cash in their direction. At the time I highlighted their mission statement, which no longer exists online, to illustrate what really was happening under the hood of the organization. Their mission, which is what the organization was founded on, were these principles: 1) We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead. 2) We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege 3) We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered. 4) We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts. 5) We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable. 6) We foster a queer‐affirming network. As I mentioned at the time, while the organization cites race in their name, it’s clear that they’re also a homosexual activist organization, a feminist organization, an anti-religious organization and they’re socialist/communist activists. And it’s for that reason that the official BLM Grassroots response to the Islamic terror attacks was this: Black Lives Matter Grassroots stands in solidarity with our Palestinian family who are currently resisting 57 years of settler colonialism and apartheid. As Black people continue the fight to end militarism and mass incarceration in our own communities, let us understand the resistance in Palestine as an attempt to tear down the gates of the world’s largest open air prison. Because ya know mass murder, beheadings, burnings, raping is of course only “resistance” worth supporting. Which btw, every woke corporate sellout who threw money behind BLM has done...in addition to supporting their cop killing, building burning, store looting cartels here at home. Because again, it’s during times of adversity that you can really see everyone’s true colors. You don’t have to travel to the middle east to find true evil. Those who support it are sadly right here at home...like as in potentially, literally, your neighbors. We should pray for Israel, and we should pray for peace. But that peace will only come when those who seek to eliminate others aren’t in a position to try to do so. For that reason, we shouldn’t just stand with Israel, we should pray for Israel’s success in bringing about peace – which is the only way that it will occur. And perhaps through the strength of their success others who’re egregiously misled around the world, including in our own communities, will reevaluate their demented world view.
