  • Florida received over $57 billion in new business investments over the past year based on a new study which shows Florida currently ranking 4th nationally for startups and business investment. Over the past five years total business investment has risen by 910% - the largest gain of any large state in the country. 
  • Two students were arrested at Wellington Community High School on Thursday after bullets were found following a tip that was reported to authorities. Officials said a full sweep of the campus revealed no weapons or immediate threats to students or campus safety. 
  • Partly cloudy skies and breezy today with a high near 80, which is typical for this date. We can expect similar but winder weather through the weekend. 
  • Gas prices were flat on Thursday and 13 cents lower than a week ago. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.02 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.17 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.03 and in Indian River County the average is $3.04 per gallon.
