Temporary Protected Intelligence – Top 3 Takeaways – July 8th, 2026

Temporary Protected Intelligence – Top 3 Takeaways – July 8th, 2026

Takeaway #1: An insult to our intelligence

74 genders... or is it 81? Free government given things. Democracy. There are many ways in which the political Left can (and does on the daily) insult one’s intelligence. However, as I’m inclined to say, if the premise of anything is false, anything built on that false premise will fail too. And I don’t spend my time pointing out all of the ways in which a false premise is often advanced and the extent to which it commonly exists or that’s all I would ever do and have time to share with you. This is to say that I pick my spots and typically only do when I’ve simply been intellectually insulted to the extent that I feel it’s important to do. We’re there with the temporarily protected Haitians. And no, I’m not going to simply restate what I said recently in the wake of the Supreme Court’s obviously correct TPS decision. Though for those who may not know the origin of the Haitian TPS story it is important to note that it is this: The Haitians received TPS over sixteen years ago due to the 2010 earthquake on the island. So, as I mentioned. Do you think the worst from that 2010 earthquake in Haiti is over? And if the answer is yes...the TPS status no longer has a reason to exist. Yes, the Left is now saying that Haiti isn’t a safe place or is a failed state. A) That’s attempting to move the goal post because that wasn’t why they were granted temporary protected status and B) That’s far from a unique thing. How many unstable countries are there that aren’t the safest of places? Should every Cuban be transported here with temporary status permanently attached? How about every Venezuelan or better still every Iranian – especially those who’ve recently been in the streets during the weeklong funeral to their dead terrorist leader chanting “death Israel and death to America”. Perhaps they should have permeant TPS too. It doesn’t exactly look like Iran likely to be too safe anytime soon. But the bigger point I have for you today is this. Representative Lois Frankel who is supposed to represent the president and me in congress, but doesn’t seemingly represent anyone but illegal immigrants... just told CBS 12 this: It is not only cruel to literally hundreds of thousands of people who are living in peacefully and legally in this country, it's going to be a devastating impact to our own economy here in Palm Beach County. We have Haitians who are here legally now authorized to work, paying their taxes, and they are everywhere in the fabric of our workplace, in our nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, restaurants, construction. Right and as she and other Leftists have gone on to say there won’t be people who will work those jobs, and we’ll soon have a healthcare crisis too. And this is the Nexis of the next level insulting of intelligence that needs to be addressed. First, if someone is granted temporary status, but that time is up and they chose to stay – then...

Takeaway #2: They’re no longer legally in this country.

That might be news to Lois and those in GSS News, however it’s a rather obvious truth. But here’s how unthinking one must be to accept Lois’ false theory. Remember, Haitians we’re granted TPS status because of a January 2010 earthquake. So, we’re to believe that if there hadn’t been an earthquake in Haiti in January of 2010 – we never would have had people to provide healthcare in this community? We’d be in the midst of a sixteen and a half year healthcare service crisis because we’d have no Haitians to do the jobs that apparently we’re now told that Americans won’t do? Remember when that used to be reserved for the orange picking arguments? How stupid as a people do we have to be to buy this line of thinking? Remember how we were told three years ago that if we passed Florida’s immigration law and mandated E-Verify, that we’d have $5 strawberries (as in one), and no one to do construction, the trades or to build houses? The average Haitian working in healthcare in South Florida is earning $48,000 per year. That’s right in line with the average full-time salary people earn generally. Florida currently has 531,400 unemployed people. Meaning there are 531,400 people activity seeking work currently who can’t find it. Do you think that some of them might be interested in a full-time job paying a typical salary that’s currently occupied by some of these TPS employees? And this is the rest story that’s never told. Not only is it the case that those who lack legal status in this country commonly occupy housing, and benefits and jobs that Americans used to – it's also the case that these policies...

Takeaway #3: Benefit foreign nationals/illegal immigrants over Americans

...and have a chilling effect on the lives of those who remained unemployed, some homeless and whom will never be interviewed. But here’s the next big related story as it pertains to job opportunities and population growth in this country. Much has been made in recent years about how Americans are having fewer and fewer children. What isn't commonly addressed is the reason why. What’s the #1 reason cited? Affordability. 46% of parents have fewer children then they otherwise would have because of affordability concerns with 36% who say they can’t afford to have any children. This is why the Left says we need to open the borders and keep everyone here on TPS status permanently. We need them to fill the void left by Americans. In reality however, the affordable housing they’re taking, the jobs they’re occupying are taking away the American dream for many families...and resulting in smaller families and fewer Americans. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. As I’ve previously illustrated...for every 5% increase in immigrant population the increase in housing costs has been 12% and in the state of Florida the average additional price paid for a home due to the inflation impact of illegal immigration has been over $46,000 and for those renting an additional $288 per month. And that’s independent of other inflation factors which have totaled over $1,100 per year. While complicated for many Haitian families, and challenging for some employer transitions, the facts are clear. The end of TPS protections will lower Florida’s unemployment rate, provide needed opportunities to Americans, and will lower the inflation rate.
