A Miami-Dade County man is guilty of beating his roommate into a coma.
After five days of testimony, jurors took less than two hours to find Byron Mitchell guilty of attempted murder.
He was accused of beating, choking and stabbing Danielle Jones three years ago in their home, but he claimed it was self-defense.
Jones has recovered enough that she was able to testify against Mitchell, but her mother tells CBS 4 News her daughter has permanent injuries.
