Bloomberg backers are on Florida bus tour highlighting gun violence

He's not in Florida except over the airwaves, but surrogates for Democrat Michael Bloomberg are on a bus tour of Florida focused on preventing gun violence. Riders include Sari Kaufman- a senior at Stoneman Douglas High School who survived the mass shooting- now almost 2 years ago.

"It's really important to know Mike Bloomberg's record on gun violence," Kaufman said, "and what he'll be able to do as president. When he was mayor in New York, he was able to decrease firearm deaths by 46%."

Kaufman says she doesn't want anyone else to go through what she went through. During the tour, she's telling her story.

"I was in my debate classroom when the fire alarm went off. It was a little abnormal because we had a fire drill earlier in the day- so we knew something wasn't right. We went outside and then I heard five gunshots.

Kaufman lost 14 classmates. Three school staff members also died. This coming Valentine's Day is the two year anniversary of the shooting.

The bus tour includes stops in Orlando and Jacksonville.
