Most beaches in Palm Beach County are back open Monday, but not all.
The Palm Beach County Commission, based on its Friday vote, is allowing beaches to open without restrictions, with the exception of social distancing and no groups of more than ten. But some municipalities are putting their own restrictions on beaches.
In Delray Beach, no sunbathing or surfing is allowed.
Boca Raton beaches will be open from sunrise to sunset, but city run beach parks, including parking, facilities, restrooms, playgrounds and picnic pavilions remain closed.
Lake Worth Beach is limiting the number of people on the beaches by closing parking spaces at beach parking lots.
The Town of Palm Beach is not reopening its beaches until Tuesday, May 26, to get past what could be a busy Memorial Day weekend.
The city of Riviera Beach has voted to not open beaches in city limits, including Singer Island. However, county-run beaches in Riviera Beach are open...including Phil Foster Park and Ocean Reef Park.
There is a regularly scheduled meeting on the City of Riviera Beach's calendar, but Council member Julia Botel says in a Facebook video that the issue will be taken up in June.
