Mar-a-Lago Neighbors Attempt To Keep President Trump From Moving There

Neighbors living near President Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club have written a letter to Palm Beach town officials, claiming the Trump family can't legally take up primary residence.

The first family has plans to settle down at the Palm Beach estate after Donald Trump leaves the White House. But according to the Washington Post, neighboring residents are citing an agreement Trump signed in 1993 to convert the property to a private club which they say bars anyone from living there year round.

Those who signed the letter are asking local officials to formally advice the president he cannot make the club his permanent residence.

In the letter, they write that "Palm Beach has many lovely estates for sale, and we are confident President Trump will find one which meets his needs."
