Drug Bust At Orlando International $500,000 In Meth Found In Backpack

Orlando, Fl.(Florida News Network)- Police arrested an airline passenger after finding over $500,000 worth of meth stashed inside his backpack. 45 year old Eli Brown of Long Beach, California was stopped by a TSA agent for a random bag check during a lay over at Orlando International. Brown told police he had fallen asleep and the backpack was next to him when he woke up. Inside, agents found 22 clear vacuum sealed bags totaling 22 pounds of meth. Police tweeted, "it was one of the largest amounts of drugs anyone's recently tried to carry in person."

Brown is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine over 200 grams and is being held at the Orange County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
