Publix Cancels COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment-Setting For Tomorrow

Snow storms blanketing much of the country is wreaking havoc on COVID vaccines getting to Florida.

A spokesperson for Publix says the supermarket chain has had to cancel Wednesday's scheduling event for coronavirus vaccines.

That's because the winter storm is delaying shipments of Moderna vaccine that are destined for Florida. Appointments scheduled for tomorrow and Thursday are not impacted.

Publix has been distributing the COVID-19 vaccine shots to seniors ages 65 and up in 41 Florida counties, with appointment setting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The chain says that it will announce the next opportunity for appointment scheduling once additional vaccine is received.
