The owner of the gun store that sold Nikolas Cruz the AR-15-style rifle he used in the 2018 Marjory Stoneman High School attack remembers the brief conversation he had with Cruz when he picked up the weapon.
Sunrise Tactical Supply owner Michael Morrison says he asked the teen, "What are you going to do with the rifle, and the reply was, 'I go shooting with my friends on the weekends. I just want my own stuff."
Morrison says he saw no red flags to stop the February 2017 sale.
Broward's Chief Medical Examiner also testified about autopsy photos showing the injuries suffered by Alex Schachter, Alyssa Alhadeff and teacher Scott Beigel.
The father of Alex was seen wiping away tears as Dr. Rebecca MacDougall described the gunshot wounds that paralyzed and killed the 14-year-old.
The jury is being asked to decide whether Cruz should face life in prison or the death penalty for his guilty pleas on 17 counts of first-degree murder and 17 counts of attempted murder.
