Anti-Semitic messages spray painted in South Florida community

Weston, FL - Deputies are investigating an incident of hate after racist and anti-Semitic graffiti were spray painted in several areas of a South Florida country club.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office say someone spray painted the graffiti in several areas of the Weston Hills Country Club community early Wednesday morning.

BSO says a number of deputies were in the community speaking with residents about the graffiti on Thursday.

Weston Mayor Margaret Brown released a statement that read, "I am alarmed and saddened by the actions of the misguided individual or individuals who vandalized these areas of the Weston Hills community. That the graffiti included anti-Semitic elements, done during Yom Kippur, the most important holiday of the Jewish faith, makes it all that more appalling.”

Authorities are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
