The day after the case against Governor DeSantis' migrant flights funded by Florida to Martha's Vineyard is dismissed, DeSantis outlines new legislation cracking down on illegal immigration. He says it includes increasing penalties for human smuggling. It also requires employers to use E-Verify ONLY when determining employee eligibility, prohibits local governments from issuing I-D cards to illegal aliens so they can't get drivers licenses, requires all voters to affirm they are U-S citizens and instructs hospitals to tally costs of providing healthcare to those here illegally. DeSantis declared a state of emergency over the migrant crisis in January.
