While Florida's Presidential Preference Primary, which will include municipal races, is set for March 19th of next year, we're over a year away from the August 2024 Primary Election, including state, countywide and federal races.

Among those races will be the one for Palm Beach County Sheriff.

"Between now and the end of the year it's all about you know, fundraising like all the other candidates are doing in all the other races."

Ric Bradshaw is already the longest serving sheriff in county history and is seeking a sixth term and he's far ahead of all of the candidates for Sheriff when it comes to fundraising, according to the Supervisor of Elections website.

At a recent event that was hosted by the county Police Benevolent Association, Bradshaw says the amount of support was great to see.

"And it was nonpartisan, I mean it didn't matter if you were Democrat or Republican because people that know me know that even though I have to have a partisan race, that I'm nonpartisan. That my office makes decisions on what's best for you and your family. I don't care if you're a Democrat or Republican or Independent. It doesn't matter to me. I don't make decisions based on that."

Some of the elected officials endorsing Sheriff Bradshaw are Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg and County Clerk and Comptroller Joe Abruzzo.

He'll have at least one Democrat primary opponent and we'll be speaking with both candidates closer to the election, as well as those competing in the Republican primary.
