(Miami, Fla) - The worst of the abnormally hot summer weather could be over for South Florida, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.

Meteorologist Will Redman says the high-pressure heat dome over Florida is shifting west and ushering in cooler, more tropical weather for at least the next ten days.

Redman says by the weekend, temperatures could be ten degrees cooler in South Florida with highs in the upper 80's.

As we enter the peak of hurricane season, we will see cooler temps and increased moisture from low pressure.
