There are events across the country on this 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

They include several in Florida.

The City of Boynton Beach held a remembrance ceremony Monday morning, but another Palm Beach County municipality has one in the evening hours.

The Village of Wellington is holding its 9/11 remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m. at the Patriot Memorial, next to Village Hall. The memorial features one of the largest steel beams salvaged from the World Trade Center.

Representatives from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, and the New York Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 3100, will also be in attendance.

The public is welcome and you can Click Here for more details.

Wellington's VillageWalk community is hosting a blood drive.

A former NYPD officer and father of fallen 9/11 firefighter Lt. John Napolitano will be there displaying the safety equipment he wore during the search and recovery and he will show 9/11 footage of his son.

That begins at 2 p.m.
