The Town of Jupiter has released a recruiting reel in an effort to hire a fire chief to build its new fire department.
Town leaders have voted to move forward with a plan to ditch the services of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue in three years time.
Still, residents continue to cry foul, including at Tuesday night's Town Council meeting.
"I don't think on this level that we can replicate what Palm Beach County Fire Rescue brings to the table."
In addition to the new recruitment video, which invokes the famous Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, the town also unveiled photos of a new ladder truck at the Jupiter Christmas tree lighting event.
Town leaders insist that forming its own fire department will save taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.
