Pines Clerk Shot Multiple Times; Teen Suspect Charged

A Pembroke Pines store clerk at a drive thru the Pasadena Food Store off University Drive near Sheridan Street is recovering after being shot multiple times in his arms and back side, in what police say was an attempted robbery.

Store owner John Oonnoonny tells NBC6 that the injured employee called him right after getting shot.

"He called me and I told him 'did you call 911?'," said Oonnoonny. "He ran this way and he was at an apartment there and I ran there when I came I ran to the apartment and he was there the police were there."

Police report a teenaged suspect is in custody and is now facing a charge of attempted homicide.

The teen was found with a gun.
