(Hialeah, Fla) - Councilman Bryan Calvo's civil lawsuit against Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo over access to information about the 911 emergency services was dismissed with prejudice, according to court documents. That means Councilman Calvo cannot bring the same claim again in the future. Judge Reemberto Diaz also denied Calvo's request for attorney's fees.

Calvo filed suit last fall accusing Mayor Bovo of abuse of power for blocking his investigation into alleged unanswered 911 calls.

The councilman alleged that Hialeah wrongfully withheld documents in response to his request for over 10,000 Hialeah records from the 911 call center.
