Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Commissioners working on ways to prevent another sand hole tragedy following the death of a 7-year-old girl trapped when one collapsed on her. Mayor Chris Vincent says they're hoping everyone understands the risks associated with these sand holes. The Town Commission taking a closer look tonight at safety measures like adding lifeguards on on the beach and enacting a no-digging ordinance. They will also discuss erecting a public memorial to honor Sloan Mattingly and her 9-year-old brother who was injured in the collapse.
