Salaries Of The Former & Current Superintendent Under Microscope In Broward

Salaries for the former and new Broward Superintendents being hammered out today. School Board member Dr. Allen Zeman says the must figure out how to handle Peter Licata's contact, since he's retiring in December after less than a year on the job. He says he cannot maintain his 350-thousand-dollar-a-year contract when he's acting as a consultant. The 340-thousand-dollar-a-year salary negotiated by Superintendent Howard Hepburn is expected to get the green light. He will get limited severance pay if he lasts less than a year on the job.
