Miami Beach Flooding Update

The City of Miami Beach has declared a State of Emergency as additional rounds of rain showers, thunderstorms and flooding conditions are expected to continue with a flood watch in effect through the evening of Friday, June 14.

“The safety of our residents, businesses and visitors is of the utmost importance” said Miami Beach Interim City Manager Rickelle Williams. “Our city remains fully operational and city staff is working diligently to mitigate flooding as much as possible.”

PARKING

The Miami Beach Parking Department has opened nine public garages for all residents wishing to keep their cars out of flood-prone areas. The garages at the Miami Beach Convention Center (1901 Convention Center Drive), 5 Street & Alton Road (550 Lenox Avenue), and City Hall (1755 Meridian Avenue) are not included.

Residents may park vehicles at no cost through Monday, June 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. Proof of residency when exiting the parking facility is required. Non-residents/employees may use any city parking garage, however, standard rates still apply.

  • Taking shorter showers and using less water in the bathtub.
  • Turning off water sprinklers.
