NIL Deals Approved For High School Athletes

Florida high school athletes can now cash in on their name, image and likeness. State Education Board Chair Manny Diaz says they tweaked bylaws initially passed by the Florida High School State Athletic Association to allow NIL for student athletes without forfeiting the ability to play prep sports. He says they will not tolerate any attempts by companies trying to take advantage of students who will not be able to endorse anything involving alcohol, vaping, gambling or social activism. Florida joins 38 other states and the District of Columbia allowing high school NIL deals.
