A toddler was among two people hospitalized after a crash near Ibis on Sunday.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Northlake Boulevard, just east of the Publix shopping center, west of the Beeline Highway.

West Palm Beach Police describe it as a single-vehicle crash, saying a man with a toddler in a Tesla veered off the road and then struck a fence, resulting in the car catching fire.

The accident caused the closure of two eastbound lanes for some time while fire rescue worked on the scene.

No word on the conditions of the man or toddler who were both taken to St. Mary's Medical Center.
